You are capable of anything with your best friend by your side.
A best friend believes in you even when you don’t believe in yourself. Stacey and I have believed in each other since pre-school and over the years that belief has only grown stronger. She continues to amaze me every day. She is one of the most dedicated athletes I know. She never makes an excuse for missing a workout and takes her training very seriously. She wants to be better and she puts in the work to get there. You will see Stacey crushing workouts and moving big weight in the gym, but her strength is much greater than the weight she can lift. She has overcome every obstacle in her life with a smile. For this reason, she inspires me every day to be better in and out of the gym.
When I started CrossFit, I was determined to get Stacey to join me at the box. There were several things that made her hesitant about joining, but her biggest concern was her pace maker. She had many reservations and questions about what she was capable of doing and how she would have to modify workouts. Fast-forward to today, and all of the questions have been answered. Stacey is capable of everything and anything she puts her mind to and there are no modifications needed. She is consistently getting stronger, faster, and better every day.
When Stacey isn’t texting me to see if I will workout with her, she is sending me pictures of dogs. She has a special place in her heart for pitbulls and helps educate others about this misunderstood breed. Without her, I would not have my two wonderful babies. She gives many homeless dogs a voice and works tirelessly to get them adopted for no other reason than it being the right thing to do. It is her passion and what makes her so special.

She believed she could, so she did.
Stacey is and will always be my rock. She is always there to give me a pep-talk when I need it and to make me laugh when I want to cry. She pushes me to be better a better athlete and a better person. I will always believe in her the way that she believes in me. I can’t wait to continue this journey with her by my side as my best friend. Wishing her the happiest of birthdays and another year of laughs, fun, love, pitbulls, PRs, and hard workouts. 12/18/14
